Store-bought granola tastes amazing! But unfortunately most varieties are packed with refined sugars, unhealthy oils and preservatives. Here is an easy to make recipe I made up that I have been obsessed with lately. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll never go back to the store-bought crap again!

INGREDIENTS
Oats
Chia seeds
Sesame seeds
Pepitas
Sunflower kernals
Shredded coconut
Almonds
Cashews
Peanuts
Hazlenuts
Walnuts
Pecans
(You can either buy the nuts already crushed or buy them whole and crush them yourself)
Coconut oil
Honey (or pure maple syrup if you’re vegan)

METHOD
Pre-heat oven to 180°C. Add all dry ingredients in to a large bowl (I don’t measure the ingredients, I just add the amount I feel like). Melt some coconut oil and honey in a saucepan, then add to the bowl. Mix together, then spread out on to a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place in oven and toast for 20 minutes. Mix it around a few times during cooking to make sure it all toasts evenly.

Cool on tray, then transfer to an airtight container. Stays fresh for up to 2 weeks 🙂

Love,
Samara
